While I migrated south for the winter and was not paying attention, this blog turned three in January. I'm out of my terrible twos, and now an obnoxious toddler, I guess. For those new to the blog, or those oldies just trying to block it all out, let me recap the last year and bring the memories flooding back.
And, by the way, thanks to every one of you that takes time out of your day to read my little slice of foodie life. You're the reason I'm not huddled under a train trestle rocking back and forth humming nursery rhymes.

No one dared comment on this post, but I felt really stupid and like I was in the slow reading group, so, of course, posted it. Likewise, I felt stupid not knowing about the eats in IKEA's cafeteria, so posted that, too. Posts where I come off stupid are fun reads! I didn't feel stupid, but I sure did feel fat after eating a whole bag of candy bars.

Hands down, the mole sauce at Café con Chocolate. Now, go get some!Favorite Restaurants Reviewed
Cafe con Chocolate is the tops for me! I'll also throw in Las Bugambillas, and Palace at the Ben's Sunday brunch.

I did the ice cream thing again last year, and I'll probably do it again this year, but get yourself on some vegan chocolate coconut ice cream and Earl Grey tea ice cream, if you know what's good for you.

It was a slow, chill year. The only new thing was Signs. These posts got either the least or the most comments, depending. Check it here, here, here, here, and here.

I baked vegan red velvet cupcakes last year, and that post has gotten more hits than any post I've ever written. Vegans love cupcakes!Vacation
I seemed to have gotten out quite a bit last year, but the ol' crystal ball tells me I'm not going to as many places this year. I found it difficult to eat on my trip to beautiful Portugal. I finally made it to Mexico, where I fell in love with beach dogs and limes. Somewhat locally, I spent a quick 27 hours in NY, and got a private tour of the NJ shore from a New Jerseyan. Down South, I spent Fourth of July in Charleston, and at Christmas and New Year's I did a long tour of the South, including: Columbia, Savannah, Asheville, and Charleston.Worth Mentioning
I succumbed to hype and visited Distrito and Capogiro, to my delight. Cooking classes at Palace at the Ben were fun, but standing around waiting for a pinata to break that didn't was not. I ate my first scrapple, but it was vegan. My kitty got a cameo on a widely popular food site. Fellow food bloggers and others Bust Out for boobs. And Philly's food bloggers come out for food in Fairmount Park, and get quoted in a newspaper when a journalist shows up to a potluck.
